Tara Tina Oplinger 9/16/77-2/8/17

Tara Tina Oplinger, 39, was born in Sacramento, California on September 16, 1977 and passed away on February 8, 2017 in Baltimore, Maryland. Tara was born in Sacramento, CA, grew up in Frederick County, Maryland and attended Boonsboro High School. She has lived in Hagerstown, MD, Boonsboro, MD Smithsburg, MD, Waynesboro, PA, and Baltimore, MD. She earned her cosmetology license in 2002 from Award Beauty School and worked for several years in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Tara was a talented cosmetologist who enjoyed bringing out peoples natural beauty. She cut, colored, and styled hair, while listening to and encouraging her clients as she worked. Tara had a passion for people and always strived to make them feel good about themselves.
Tara was known for her big heart and her desire to help people. She really cared about others and wanted the best for them. She always had a smile and a bubbly personality. She was a good friend and really desired a family. She considered her Church Gallery SOWEBO to be that family, and she felt loved and accepted there as a member. She will be greatly missed by Denene Yates, her mother figure, and Theresa Barberi, who she considered a sister and best friend. Tara is survived by five children whom she loved very much: Isaiah, 16; Nathaniel, 14; Michael, 12; Leyanna, 4; and Jaxson, 10 months.

Anne D. Bendann

Anne was an extraordinary volunteer who devoted countless hours to Safe House of Hope. Among many other things she got churches and people together and coordinated our donations to help our clients, whether it was clothing, furniture or hygienic products. She served on the Maryland Human Trafficking Task Force.
